Vinyl is dead, long live Vinyl! Having owned a turntable since the early 80's, the basic principals have remained roughly the same, dating back to the 1960's and the Garrard 301/401. Idler drive, belt drive or direct drive, all have a place in the modern hi-fi system. What has changed fundamentally is the turntable mat.
