The Optimus mains filter is built by us to a tried and tested formula. An iec inlet mains filter with sophisticated filtering and rated at 3, 5 or 13 amps. Can be used on cd players, amplifiers, blu-ray players and even TV's, filters out the interferance in the mains supply.

Extruded aluminium casing with internal earth system, utilizing black rhodium super fusion silver plated cable terminated with a martin kaiser IEC connector silver plated.

We are confident this small wonder will work exceptionally well on most hi-fi equipment, use them on every component for maximum effect. Also available with Furutech mains filter built in.

2012-03-13 d.m.	mains filter	This product is smaller and more lightweight than I expected, very neat and well built. Not so likely to damage a socket, though the cable is quite short so it is sometimes necessary to leave it hanging. I bought this product along with the No.14 mains cable, out of interest. I used them together on a British Trace Elliot bass amp with an immediately noticeable improvement, more clarity and the bottom and top frequencies were more present. Separately they addressed some issues but neither product worked as well by itself. When the filter was used with a generic lead there was a slight improvement in sound quality but when used with the No.14 cable the improvement was substantial. I also tried the single cable and filter on my decent but entry level 2.1 studio monitors/sub, which need 3 power cables to run, so I was unable to get a full, overall improvement in my set-ups sound. I am now considering enough filters and cables to run my 2.1 system and perhaps even for my computer. The studio monitors probably showed the most improvement, I can hear a lot more subtleties; the tone of instruments; better note definition. When used on the sub, bass was much tighter and it seemed to send a cleaner signal to the monitors, and it really had good impact. Tried it out on the computer out of curiosity and was surprised at the slight improvement in the performance of the studio card and graphics card, photos looked a little richer, audio was a little clearer. I was surprised to see any difference as the computers PSU is high quality and very stable. It seems anything I plug into it just works better. I think this is money well spent as an upgrade, considering the price of good monitors.
2011-06-05 Adrian W.	in-line filter	I own the previous version of this product, it is excellent and has definitely improved the sound quality of my amplifier. Highly recommended.
