For many years the MK Toughplug has been recognised as the standard audiophile-grade plug available at reasonable cost. It accepts a wide variety of cable thicknesses, but does need modifying internally to fit larger diameter wires.
Available here in brass, which is then silver-plated, all contact pins and screws are treated with Caig De-Oxit to chemically clean the plug contacts for better performance.
The silver-plating is carried out by a supplier founded in 1951, so their pedigree is beyond reproach. Silver is the best conductor of electrons known, and introducing the MK silver-plated Toughplug into your system will bring much better definition and resolution of information.
The MK Toughplug is also available in standard brass, as well as rhodium and gold-plated versions.

super quality and easy to fit
Good... for smaller cables
This plug is well made and as easy to assemble as any other standard 13 amp plug. However, the cable grip is a V-shaped grip, rather than the usual two screws and a clamping bar. I used this plug with Black Rhodium Fusion cable, which is quite thick, so it was difficult to get the cable into the slot. If you are planning to use this plug with a thick cable, I would suggest using the slightly more expensive Mains Cables R Us Ref. Silver Mains Plug and save yourself the aggravation.
Mr jason bowers
I found the silver plated tough plug to be very good sounding. David did not have enough mk,,s till next week, so instead he sent cables r us silver plated plugs instead at no extra charge which I found to be slightly better in the sound stakes. The silver plated. Bussmans fuses are not to shabby either.
