Furutech GT2 USB Cable
I had been to listen to a Dcs Debussy DAc at a local hifi retailers. We couldn't get it to work properly with my computer so a return visit was scheduled. Whilst I had been there I had noticed that the USB cable was an old one of the type that is given away with printers so I decided to get an audiophile one. Having used some Furutech bits in the past I ordered one of theirs from Mains Cables R Us.
On my second visit to the hifi retailers we first played some tracks from my laptop through the old cable and it didn't sound bad. Dcs make some fabulous kit and the sound was quite impressive. We changed to the Furutech Formula 2 USB cable and hit play, it took less than a second to hear that this was the biggest upgrade improvement I have ever heard. The shop owner who was wedded to playing disks on Dcs players was startled by what he was hearing. The difference was akin to night and day or possibly black and white and colour. It was astounding. The music I had taken was just CDs ripped to Wav. He had down-loaded a Linn high res track so we played that first as we had played my tracks and then with the u-clock included in the system. There was a difference but nowhere as great as with the change of lead. The retailer has an account with Furutech. However he bought my Furutech USB lead off me so that he could continue using it. My replacement has just arrived, different length, which is why I let the original go. Many thanks
